Overview

The Large Cargo Freighter, nicknamed the Dreamlifter, is a 747-400 rebuilt with a hugely swollen fuselage. It carries 787 Dreamliner wings, fuselage sections and other large parts from suppliers in Japan, Italy and the United States to Boeing's assembly lines, and its whole tail section swings open sideways for loading.

Only four were converted, by Evergreen Aviation Technologies in Taiwan. With a hold of about 1,840 cubic metres it is one of the most voluminous aircraft ever built.
