Overview
The Mirage 2000 brought back Dassault's classic delta wing, but added fly-by-wire controls that made it far more agile and stable than the earlier Mirage III. It is a light single-engine fighter that is easy to handle and popular with pilots.
About 600 were built for France and eight export customers, including India, the UAE, Egypt, Greece, Taiwan and Qatar. India's Mirage 2000s are well known for their part in the 1999 Kargil war and the 2019 Balakot air strike. Specifications are for the Mirage 2000C.
