Overview
The ASK 21 is a two-seat training glider made of glass-fibre composite by Alexander Schleicher in Germany. Strong, easy to fly and able to perform aerobatics, it has been in production since 1979 and is found at gliding clubs all over the world.
With no engine, it is launched by a winch or towed up by a powered plane, then stays aloft using rising air. The US Air Force Academy trains cadets on it as the TG-16A.
