Overview
The SH-60 Seahawk is the naval version of the Black Hawk, with a folding rotor and tail, a stronger undercarriage for landing on rolling ship decks and sensors for anti-submarine and anti-ship warfare. First flown in 1979 as the SH-60B, it is now built as the MH-60R, which uses a dipping sonar, radar and torpedoes.
The Indian Navy began receiving 24 MH-60Rs in 2021. Figures shown are for the MH-60R.
