Overview
The Su-35 is the most advanced version of the Su-27 family, often called a "4++ generation" fighter. It uses more powerful AL-41F1S engines with thrust vectoring, a new Irbis-E radar and a modern glass cockpit, without the canards of some earlier variants.
It can perform extreme manoeuvres at low speed, such as flat spins and tail-first slides, which it shows off at air shows. Russia operates the Su-35S, and China bought 24 in 2015. Specifications are for the Su-35S.
